The Best-Performing Cannabis Micros in New Jersey

New Jersey’s microbusiness growers sold an estimated $22.32M of their own brands this year. Full Tilt ranks No. 25 of 810 brands statewide.

Who Are the Best-Performing Micros in New Jersey, by Sales Data
Who Are the Best-Performing Micros in New Jersey, by Sales Data

New Jersey's licensed dispensaries sold an estimated $976M of branded cannabis between January 1 and September 23, 2026, across 810 brands. We pulled out every brand made by one of the state's microbusiness cultivators — growers the Cannabis Regulatory Commission caps at 2,500 square feet of canopy and 10 employees — and ranked them by estimated retail sales.

The CRC lists 18 micro cultivators. We found 18 brands in the sales data made by 15 of them; the other three have no brand in the data yet. Because New Jersey has only 18 craft brands on shelves, this is the full list rather than a top 25. For each brand we give its rank among all 810 brands in the state.

The short version

Craft is about 2% of the market. Micro brands took 2.3% of New Jersey's brand sales for the year and 2.5% over the last 30 days. The state's No. 1 brand, Rythm (GTI), sold $42.27M on its own — nearly twice what all 18 craft brands sold together.

One micro is half of craft. Fulltilt Labs in Ewing makes Full Tilt and OffShore Oil Co. Together they sold $11.41M, 51.1% of all craft-brand sales, and Full Tilt alone ranks No. 25 statewide — ahead of hundreds of brands from much larger growers. It is still licensed as a micro.

After Full Tilt, the list is small. No. 2, Shnicks Shnacks, sold $1.85M. Thirteen of the 18 brands sold less than $1 million, and No. 18 sold $29K.

Craft is gaining a little. Its share rose from 2.29% for the year to 2.51% over the last 30 days. Roman Brothers, Shnicks Shnacks and Full Tilt's OffShore Oil Co. all climbed.

Craft sells at market prices. The average craft item sold for $35.91, against $35.90 for all brands.

Where craft sits in the whole market

New Jersey's brand sales split three ways. Standard cultivators — including the multistate operators — make 76.1% through their own and partner brands. Microbusinesses make 2.3%. The remaining 21.6% is brands from manufacturer-only licensees, out-of-state brands whose New Jersey maker isn't public, store house brands and accessories.

The statewide top 10, for context:

Full Tilt, at No. 25, would need a bit more than double its sales to reach No. 10.

How we built the list

  • Craft means a CRC microbusiness cultivator license. Micros are capped at 2,500 sq ft of canopy and 10 employees. Standard cultivators are licensed for up to 10,000 sq ft (Tier I) through up to 150,000 sq ft (Tier VI). Four growers that started as micros — The Happy Farmer, Neptune's Garden, Magic Garden Botanicals and High End Gardens — have since been approved as standard and are not on this list.
  • Sales are estimates. Retail dollars and items come from Lit Alerts' New Jersey brand data, January 1 – September 23, 2026 (September 23 is a partial day). “Last 30 days” is August 24 – September 22.
  • Each brand is tied to a license using the CRC's license records and meeting documents, brand websites, dispensary menus and press coverage.
  • Two growers make two brands each, and one appears twice. Fulltilt Labs makes Full Tilt and OffShore Oil Co. Prolific Growhouse makes its own brand and Buoyant Bob, a Missouri brand it produces under a partnership. EV Farms and EV Cultivators are the same Atlantic City grower under two names. We list each name as it appears in the sales data.

Nos. 1–6: Full Tilt, then a baker, an equity pioneer and a living-soil grower

Nos. 1–6 sold $17.07M combined, 76.5% of craft-brand sales.

1. Full Tilt — Full Tilt is the biggest craft brand in New Jersey by far: $10.17M across 270,450 items at $37.60 each, No. 25 of 810 brands statewide and No. 22 over the last 30 days. Its maker, Fulltilt Labs in Ewing, Mercer County, is still licensed as a microbusiness — the Cannabis Regulatory Commission approved its cultivator and manufacturer licenses in the micro category in January 2023 and renewed them in February 2026, and we found no application to convert. Heady NJ reported in 2024 that it grows indoors in two 1,200-square-foot flower rooms — 2,400 square feet, just under the micro cap — with a tissue-culture lab on site. It is a family-run legacy-to-legal operation co-owned by Salvatore “Sammy” Piazza with partner Andres Plumacher, launched without outside investors. The brand says it grows in living soil and makes solventless products.

2. Shnicks Shnacks — Shnicks Shnacks is the edibles outlier among New Jersey's micros, best known for fresh-baked cereal-and-marshmallow “Cloud Bars,” plus some vapes and flower. Owner Nick Powers runs it as a micro cultivator and manufacturer in West Milford, Passaic County, where the township council backed its license in 2023. $1.85M; No. 102 statewide. It is climbing: No. 74 over the last 30 days, with 19.4% of its year's sales in that stretch.

3. Prolific — Prolific Growhouse in Mount Holly, Burlington County, was founded by CEO David Nicolas, a social-equity license holder who told Greenway Magazine it held “the first equity license awarded in New Jersey.” Heady NJ has described it as a Black-owned legacy-to-legal grower. It reached market with a loan and a management services agreement from Missouri's Buoyant Bob, whose products it also makes (No. 7). Gov. Phil Murphy toured the grow in 2024. In July 2026 the CRC fined the company $15,000 for advertising without verifying a 21-plus audience, including ads on its Cybertruck. $1.59M under its own name; No. 112 statewide.

4. Kusala Care — Kusala Care in Oakland, Bergen County, was co-founded in 2021 by head cultivator Justin Lee and COO George Lutfey, both of whom qualified for social-equity licensing because of past cannabis arrests. Getting local approval took a fight: it filed a $6.8 million claim against the borough in 2022 over its stalled application. It grows indoors in no-till living soil and opened in 2025. At $63.62 per item it is the most expensive brand on this list. $1.37M; No. 117 statewide.

5. OffShore Oil Co — OffShore Oil Co. is Full Tilt Labs' vape and edibles line — dispensary menus list it as “Offshore Oil Co. by Full Tilt Labs.” $1.24M; No. 123 statewide and No. 106 over the last 30 days. With Full Tilt, the company's two brands sold $11.41M, 51.1% of all New Jersey craft-brand sales.

6. Brighterside Farms — Brighterside Farms is grown by Brighterside Canopy in Pleasantville, Atlantic County, whose co-owner and COO Lyndsey Shaw has more than 20 years of cultivation experience. A June 2025 CRC memo shows it asking to add a third grow room, taking canopy from 1,068 to 1,452 square feet. Its tagline is “Soil Grown. Hand Watered. Farm Raised.” $842K; No. 143 statewide.

Nos. 7–12: a Missouri partner, the Pine Barrens and North Jersey

Nos. 7–12 sold $3.81M combined, 17.1% of craft-brand sales.

7. Buoyant Bob — Buoyant Bob is a Missouri brand owned by Show-Me Organics. It is on this list because Prolific Growhouse makes it in New Jersey under their partnership, and Greenway Magazine calls its vapes and pre-rolls staples of Prolific's line. Counted together, Prolific's two brands sold $2.41M. $819K under this name; its sales have slowed, with only 4.6% of the year's total in the last 30 days.

8. Bass River Buds — Bass River Buds turned a farm building in Bass River Township, Burlington County, into a small no-till living-soil grow and markets a “Piney Power” Pine Barrens identity. It sells flower and pre-rolls at $53.27 per item, the second-highest price on the list. $741K; No. 156 statewide.

9. Parks Grove — Parks Grove in West Deptford, Gloucester County, calls itself family-run and a small-batch cultivator established in 2022, with strains such as Red Cake and Banana Breath. $654K; No. 167 statewide.

10. West Orange Farms — Despite its name, West Orange Farms is licensed to grow in North Bergen, Hudson County, with a manufacturing license at a Montclair address; Montclair Local reported in May 2026 that it has no facility in West Orange and no working operation at the Montclair address. $618K; No. 170 statewide.

11. Megaleaf — Megaleaf in Maywood, Bergen County, makes small-batch indoor flower and pre-rolls, with strains such as Mimosa and Megaboof. $525K; No. 193 statewide.

12. Blue Harvest — Blue Harvest describes itself as a family-run micro founded by two brothers and their friends from the same town, growing in Somerset (Franklin Township). It sells flower and pre-rolls; in June 2026 the CRC considered a micro manufacturer license that would let it make more. $454K; No. 210 statewide.

Nos. 13–18 sold $1.44M combined, 6.5% of craft-brand sales.

13. Jerzey Grown — Jerzey Grown in Egg Harbor City, Atlantic County, is run by four lifelong friends and sells pesticide-free, hand-trimmed flower, including its own crosses such as Tricho Jordan. $446K; No. 212 statewide.

14. Genuine Grow — Genuine Grow is a two-person operation in Montclair — owner Andrew Marshall, a Montclair High graduate and former TV producer, and head grower Michael “Tito” Sirianni — that Montclair Local called Essex County's only operating legal grow. It opened in September 2025, runs about 100 plants and sells only flower and whole-flower pre-rolls. $339K; No. 233 statewide.

15. Roman Brothers — Roman Brothers Cannabis grows indoors in small batches in a 2,500-square-foot facility in Absecon, Atlantic County, owned by William Roman. The CRC recommended a micro manufacturer license for it in February 2026. It is the list's fastest climber: No. 236 for the year, No. 162 over the last 30 days, with 27.5% of its year's sales in that stretch.

16. EV Farms — EV Family Farms is a family-owned grower in Atlantic City licensed as E.V. LLC. It sells flower and whole-bud pre-rolls. The sales data carries it under two names, EV Farms and EV Cultivators (No. 17); counted together they sold $291K. $244K under this name; No. 259 statewide.

17. EV Cultivators — The second name for E.V. LLC's products (see No. 16), matching its Instagram handle. $47K; No. 364 statewide.

18. Green Leevz — Green Leevz was the first micro cultivator approved in Jefferson Township, Morris County, run by local owner Bill Comeford with Elliot McClendon and Josh Moskowitz. It is the newest and smallest brand on the list, but 52.8% of its year's sales came in the last 30 days, lifting it from No. 391 to No. 300 statewide.

Who's climbing

A brand selling at an even pace would have made about 11.3% of its year-to-date sales in the last 30 days. These brands rose the most in the statewide ranking:

BrandStatewide rank, yearStatewide rank, last 30 daysShare of year's sales in last 30 days

The three micros with no brand in the data

  • Green Group Grows NJ (Tuckerton) does sell under its own name — its wholesale profile calls it the “smallest batch grow in NJ” and dispensary menus carry it — but it doesn't appear in the Lit Alerts brand data. The CRC renewed its license in October 2025.
  • Fuse Brands (Roselle) holds cultivator and manufacturer licenses; its website is under construction. A “G-Fuse” THC syrup sells in New Jersey, but nothing we found ties it to Fuse Brands.
  • Skinner Farms (West Milford) holds a cultivator license and says it offers two products, but names no products or stores.
